National Conference on Assistive Technology (NCAT) was conducted at BVRIT during 29th to 31st July , 2011.
ATL SVES Stall was established during INDICON2011, National Level Conference held by IEEE at BITS Hyderabad Campus during 16th to 18th December 2011
Techair India was held at NewDelhi during 6-7th Feb 2012. ATL BVRIT stall was established
Products developed by ATL BVRIT were exhibited at ITsAP held on June 21st to 22nd June 2012.
Honorable minister for information technology and communications in Andhra Pradesh Sri Ponnala Lakshmaiah visited ATL stall at ITsAP.
First Prize was won by Assist Plus (Under social impact category ) Mr Riyaz , 2nd year MTech , Software Engineering, Aravind Reddy (alumni BVRIT), Dheeraj (alumni BVRIT), Chaitanya (alumni BVRIT).
Another team from BVRIT Spurthi Rao, Neha of CSIT 4th year won Special prize under women category for - Monitioring System project ITsAP
TI ANALOG DESIGN CONTEST
Following project got consolation prize at TI Analog Design contest held at the TI Bangalore Campus on 6th April 2012:
NAME OF THE PROJECT: BLIND NAVIGATOR
TEAM MEMBERS: V.Durga Spurthi & Y.Sindhuri (BME)
TEAM MENTOR: Prof. Ashok Shigli
They received 500$ cash prize from TI. They won this prize by competing amongst the top 15 teams in the whole competition against 156 teams.
This project was designed to help the visually challenged persons to navigate through known and unknown locations, hence enhancing their levels of independence. The main components of this system include a GPS system to inform the current location to the user and Digital Compass that could give directions to the system which works based on the destination chosen.
T4E CONFERENCE 2012
BVRIT ATL products were exhibited at T4E conference held at IIIT Hyderabad during July 18th to 20th 2012.
SWEEKAR UPKAAR VISIT
Students of ATL BVRIT along with Dr I A Pasha Prof & HOD ECE Dept, Ashok Shigli Prof & HOD BME Dept, Assoc Prof Deepthi, Asst Prof Divya Kodali, Hardware Design Engineer Junaid Ali Khan visited Sweekar Upkaar on 28 july 2012 to identify clients for ATL project.
ENABLE INDIA PROJECTS
To cater to the requirements of clients from ENABLE INDIA(an Organization which strives to empower people with disabilities) ATL BVRIT students are working on 12 projects.
UMASS TEAM VISIT
Prof Alan Rux and his Team from University of Massachusetts visited ATL BVRIT during 21st July 2012 to 7th August 2012.
