Admission Procedure

  • Admissions are done as per the norms prescribed by the Government.
  • The Government orders in vogue shall prevail.
  • The candidate shall be an Indian National.
  • The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination Intermediate or equivalent on the date of admission.
  • Seats in each program in the college are classified into CATEGORY–A ( 70% of intake), and CATEGORY-B (30% of intake) besides Lateral Entry.
  • Category -A Seats will be filled by the Convener, EAMCET Admissions.
  • Category - B Seats will be filled by the College as per the guidelines of the Competent Authority.
  • Lateral Entry seats for 20% of the candidates from the approved strength of the course shall be admitted into the Third Semester directly based on the rank secured by the candidate in Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET(FDH)) in accordance with the instructions received from the Convener, ECET and Competent Authority.

Extra Curricular Activities

Not all the time learning but they become creative artist too. Cultural activities give way to exhibit their innate talents and off stage they become great citizens of India.

Besides the regular academic exercises the students do have a chance to become members of the following professional bodies like Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE), Indian Society of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Computer Society of India (CSI), Hobby clubs and social Service organizations like Club InQuizitive, Enlighten lives, We are for You, etc.

Every department has its Club and Student’s Association that engages in Student Development Activities and conducts regular cultural fests, seminars, national symposiums and development programs.

Sports and Games

Sports at BVRIT are an integral part of the curriculum for physical fitness, character building and development of leader ship qualities .confirming the reputation as one of the best sporting institutes in the state, BVRIT offers extensive facilities for sports and games. The institute maintains excellent grounds for cricket, volley ball, basketball, lawn tennis, track and field events.

Indoor facilities like caroms, chess, table tennis, badminton, are also maintained. BVRIT students represent JNTU cricket, volley ball, basket ball teams and athletics. We take great pride in proclaiming that the institute‘s volleyball team has won the JNTU Volley Ball, team has won the JNTU Volleyball tournament consecutively for three years. BVRIT has also emerged winners at JNTU zonal level throw ball and basket ball in 2007.

Gym

A gym has been established with Ultra Modern equipment to provide the facilities for Day scholars as well as for the hostlers and staff members who stay in the campus.

Every year BVRIT organizes Padmabhushan Dr B V Raju Memorial Sports tournament on the occasion of the Founder‘s day during month of October. As many as sixteen teams will be invited to participate in the tournament. BVRIT has the credit of winning the Padmabhushan Dr.BV Raju Memorial invitation Cricket Tournament thrice.

Library

  • The Institute has established a spacious Library & Information Centre in the Saraswati Block with an area of 1030 Sqm.
  • It is divided into different sections like Stack area, Reading room, Reference Section, Digital Library, Audio Visual Section, Technical Processing Section, Periodical Section & Reprographic Section, etc.
  • It is having the collection of 66214 volumes.
  • It is subscribing to more than 10142 + online e-journals like IEEE, Springer (CIVIL & MECH), Elsevier (CHE), J-Gate (Engineering & Technology), J-Gate (Social and Management Sciences), DELNET/NDL & 236 (Print) Indian & International Journals & Magazines.
  • It has been automated House Keeping Operations by using SOUL Software. Established Digital library for E-resources of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Circulation : 9 am to 5 pm

Reference : 8 am to 11 pm

On Sundays : 11 am to 4 pm
