Heat and mass transfer effect of MHD fluid flow across a vertical porous plate
Research Interest:
My area of research is Fluid Dynamics. My research centers on the numerical investigation of heat and mass transfer phenomena in magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) fluid flows over vertical porous plates. I study the combined effects of magnetic fields, buoyancy forces, porous medium permeability, and suction/injection on coupled momentum, thermal, and species concentration boundary layers. Using MATLAB as the primary computational platform, I develop and implement numerical algorithms to solve the governing partial differential equations through similarity transformations, finite difference methods, and shooting techniques. The aim is to predict velocity, temperature, and concentration distributions, evaluate skin friction, Nusselt, and Sherwood numbers, and analyze parameter sensitivity. This work has applications in thermal energy systems, cooling of electronic devices, geophysical and astrophysical flows, and industrial processes involving electrically conducting fluids.
