Dr. K. Lakshmi Prasad, the Director of B. V. Raju Institute of Technology, Vishnupur, Narsapur, Medak District. Worked as Principal & Dean in Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) Visakhapatnam. He did his graduation from JNTUA, Anantapur(1979-83) and post-graduation from IIT Bombay (1983-85). He pursued his doctoral and research work at IIT Bombay.

Some highlights of his career are:

1. Handled two sponsored research and development projects worth 3.8 crores sponsored by the Dept of Science & Technology, MHRD, Govt of India 2014-18 as Principal Investigator.
2. Completed 33 years of service in teaching and research.
3. Published 27 papers in International refereed Journals, International and National conferences
4. Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India)- FIE
5. Member of Indian Society for Technical Education- MISTE
6. Served as Chairman, TEQIP-II (1.2), a world bank funded project of MHRD, Govt of India during 2012-2017.
7. Served as a Technical Committee member attached to the Building Committee of Acharya Nagarjuna University, Nagarjuna Nagar, AP
8. Served as the Member, Board of Studies in Architecture and Planning, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Nagarjuna Nagar, AP.
9. Served as the Member, PGECET 2010 (Postgraduate engineering common entrance test) by the chairman, AP state council of higher education, Hyderabad.
