Dr. B. Bala Nagendra Prasad’s research interests span a broad spectrum of English Language Teaching, Language Technology, and Literary Studies, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary applications.
Dr. B. Bala Nagendra Prasad’s research interests lie at the intersection of English language education, technology, and literature. His work in English Language Teaching (ELT) focuses on innovative methodologies such as Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), Blended Learning, and Principled Eclecticism, aiming to enhance English proficiency among engineering and professional students. He actively explores the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and other emerging technologies in Technology-Enhanced Language Learning, investigating their role in personalizing and enriching language acquisition.
His research also emphasizes Soft Skills Development and Employability Training, focusing on communication skills critical for workplace success. He is particularly interested in blended and online education strategies to bridge the gap between traditional and modern learning environments.
In the area of literary studies, Dr. Prasad explores Postcolonial Indian Literature, analyzing themes such as hunger, poverty, freedom, feminism, and spirituality, with a special focus on the works of Bhabani Bhattacharya. His interdisciplinary approach also connects language, identity, and society, examining how English shapes cultural and social narratives in multicultural contexts.
Furthermore, he is passionate about curriculum development and pedagogical innovations, especially in integrating English language and communication skills into professional education frameworks, to create globally competent graduates.
