  • Dr. S. Krishna Rao is a distinguished academician, researcher, administrator, and consultant with over 25 years of experience in engineering education, research, academic leadership, and industry consultancy. He currently serves as the Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering.
  • He obtained his B.Tech. degree from Bapatla Engineering College, Andhra Pradesh, M.E. in Transportation Engineering from SGSITS, Indore, and Ph.D. from JNT University Hyderabad. He is also associated as a Guest Faculty at the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Vijayawada.
  • Prior to his current role, Dr. Krishna Rao served as Assistant Professor at Bapatla Engineering College, Associate Professor at Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College, Professor and Head at Vignana Bharathi Institute of Technology, Director (Academic Planning), and Principal (In-Charge). His contributions have significantly strengthened academic quality, outcome-based education, accreditation initiatives, and institutional development.

Dr. Krishna Rao is a recognized researcher in the fields of Transportation Engineering, Pavement Materials, Concrete Technology, and Sustainable Infrastructure Development. His research focuses on Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) pavements, sustainable pavement materials, geopolymer concrete, recycled aggregates, pervious pavements, and advanced pavement engineering solutions.
