Research Centre of Electronics & Communication Engineering
Specialization: VLSI Design & Applications
The Research and Development (R&D) Centre, ECE at B V Raju Institute of Technology (BVRIT), Narsapur, is a premier research, innovation, and skill development hub established to bridge the gap between academia and industry. The centre’s major thrust areas include VLSI, RF Communications, Robotics, and Embedded & IoT, with a strong focus on advanced VLSI design, FPGA-based systems, AI hardware acceleration, verification methodologies, physical design, advanced packaging, signal and image processing, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and edge computing. It houses state-of-the-art facilities, including Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools, FPGA development platforms, CompactRIO (cRIO), Single-Board RIO (sbRIO), LabVIEW, DAQ cards, ELVIS systems, smart cameras, an advanced Anechoic Chamber for antenna design and testing, and the Dhruva Space Lab for satellite and space technology research. Through interdisciplinary research, consultancy, sponsored projects, prototype development, and industry collaborations, the R&D Centre fosters innovation, strengthens the research ecosystem, and develops highly skilled professionals capable of addressing emerging challenges in semiconductor, communication, embedded, robotics, and space technologies.

The Power Systems Research Centre (EEE) specializes in smart grids, AI-driven energy management, and renewable/EV integration, combining strengths in power electronics, solid-state battery materials, and IoT-enabled grid analytics.
Research Centre of Chemical Engineering
Specialization: Process Modelling and Simulation
The Research Centre of the Department of Chemical Engineering is a multidisciplinary hub dedicated to innovative and sustainable research in chemical and process engineering. The centre has published more than 80 Scopus-indexed journal papers, 40+ patent publications, and secured 5 granted patents, demonstrating strong research excellence. Faculty members have successfully handled 6 sponsored research projects and 1 consultancy project funded by agencies such as DST, MSME, industries, and research organizations. Major thrust areas include heat transfer enhancement, nanotechnology, bioprocess engineering, membrane separations, CFD, wastewater treatment, CO₂ capture, renewable energy systems, and advanced separation processes. The Research Centre in Mechanical Engineering focuses on advanced research and innovation in areas such as manufacturing technologies, thermal engineering, computational fluid dynamics, and engineering design. CSE department has research centre under JNTUH in the domain of Computer vision. Computer vision domain is broken down into several specialized technical tasks:
- Image Classification: Assigning a specific label or category to an entire image.
- Object Detection: Identifying and precisely locating multiple objects within an image by drawing bounding boxes.
- Image Segmentation: Partitioning an image at the pixel level to accurately map the boundaries of distinct objects.
- Facial Recognition & OCR: Identifying human faces, mapping facial landmarks, or extracting text from images via Optical Character Recognition
