- Information Technology Research Academy (ITRA) granted a research funded project titled “Virtual Assistant for Mobile Devices Using Voice and Gesture Technologies” to the Department of CSE and PI is Dr.A.Jagan.
- Three Faculty members have been awarded doctorate degree (Mr. A. Jagan, Mr. M.Gopichand and Mr.V. Ramesh) in a span of three years.
- The Department bagged the highest Placement record for the A.Y 2014-15 of 74.7% (Till date). In the last three years, the highest pay package is Rs.16.2 Lakhs/annum.
- Mr. K. Karthik, BVRIT MIC Manager Participated in Microsoft Innovation Centers Global Summit 2014 at Redmond, WA, USA.
- 13 students were India level finalists in COMPUDON – a world level Microsoft Office Specialist Competetion and won Gold Medals & Merit certificates.
- Dr.A.Jagan won the best paper award for the paper titled “An Order-Independent Two-Pass Parallel Algorithm for Image Thinning” presented in international conference ICSCI, Hyderabad.
- Dr.A.Jagan won the best paper award for the paper titled “ Image Thinning Methodologies” presented in international conference ICSCI, Hyderabad.
- Students won Cash prizes worth Rs.10,000/- in Yappon, India’s largest youth coding competition organized by Edukinect Pvt. Ltd at BVRIT MIC on 25-02-2014.
- Automatic Irrigation Control System developed by K SWARNA REKHA, was recognized by Horticulture, Govt. of AP.
- 5 students were regional toppers in an international level workshop and Competition on Android Application Development organized in collaboration with RCAI, the USA on 25th & 26th October, 2013.
- The Best Paper award was awarded for the paper “Smart Wheel chair with Patient Monitoring System” presented by VL.Prabhash Kumar, Sriram Hariharan, K.sampath Kumar, Adi vamshi in IRAJ Conference, Pune.
- 111 students got certified with MTA (Microsoft Technology Associate) and 67 with MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) in the last 3 years.
- 68 students got opportunity for internship at various companies like CA Technologies, BEL, IBM ISL, ODF, NRSC, Virtusa, ECIL and Edukinect during 2013-14.
