1. Dr. R. Venkatesh Kumar, Assistant Professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering from B V Raju Institute of Technology, Narsapur has attended a Faculty Development Program on “Bluetooth Devices and Drivers” organized by VEDIC, Bangalore from 9^th June, 2023 to 12^th June, 2023.

Outcome: Faculty has interacted with other faculty in SVES group and planning for collaborative research in the future.

2. Dr. K. Nagu, Assistant Professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering from B V Raju Institute of Technology, Narsapur has presented a seminar, titled “Influence of Brass Interlayer and Cooling Media on Friction Stir Welded AA6061 Alloy” as a part of the VEDIC-Research Enabling Program [V-REP], the Faculty Research Colloquium [FRC], organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering and VEDIC on 28th June, 2023.

Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Assistant Professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering from B V Raju Institute of Technology, Narsapur has presented a seminar, titled “Influence of Thermal Energy Storage in Forced Convection Indirect Solar Dryer during Drying Food Products” as a part of the VEDIC-Research Enabling Program [V-REP], the Faculty Research Colloquium [FRC], organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering and VEDIC on 05^th July 2023.

Outcome: Faculty has interacted with other faculty in SVES group and feedback is given to make a prototype and industrial visits in the future.

2. The following list of 2^nd year lateral students from Department of Mechanical Engineering, B V Raju Institute of Technology, Narsapur actively participated in the workshop “Engage, Excel and Elevate (EEE)” for 2 days at VEDIC, Hyderabad from 25^th to 26^th July, 2023.

Outcome:

21 students of 2nd year B.Tech students from department of Mechanical Engineering, B V Raju Institute of Technology Narsapur had participated in the VEDIC workshop “EEE”. Got to know about Identify their thinking style, intelligences, personality & learning style through SWOT analysis, use behavioural theories for self-identifying & positioning, Practice disciplinary thinking with demonstrations, identify work interest and positioning.

At the end of the workshop students are able to

• Relate learning & work culture to growth potential
• Relate practice to skill construction to job success
• Grooming, Interview skills, body language, communication credentials

The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering in association with VEDIC have conducted 5-Day International Faculty Development program (offline and online) on “Emerging Technologies in Thermal Energy Production and Storage” from 13^th to 17^th September, 2023. Dr. Shuichi Torri, Professor, Advanced Thermal and Fluid Energy System, Kumamoto University, Japan, Dr. Hideaki Ohgaki, Professor, Institute of Advanced Energy, Kyoto University, Japan, Dr. M. Srinivas, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, BITS, Hyderabad, Mr. Jayavardhan Reddy, Managing Director, Enmax Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Dr. T. Sunil Kumar, Associate Professor, Head of the Chemical Engineering, IIT Tirupati, Dr. P.V. Suresh, Head of the Chemical Engineering, NIT Warangal, and Mr. Sandeep Roy, Technical Specialist, Altair Engineering India Pvt. Ltd delivered the lectures during the program.

• The applications of nano technology in energy storge and heat transfer enhancement.
