CENTER OF EXCELANCE (COE) IN PHE
The 5-day workshop focused on “ Discrete Element Modeling (DEM)– Industrial Manufacturing Processes” conducted during 19th September 2023 to 23rd September 2023 in BVRIT-chemical seminar hall it is a powerful computational technique used to simulate the behavior of granular materials in industrial processes. The sessions were conducted by Mr. Prasad Avilala, a technical specialist from Altair. This workshop was a collaborative effort between the departments of pharmaceutical engineering and mechanical engineering. Participants explored how DEM can enhance understanding, optimize designs, and improve efficiency in manufacturing.

The Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Enhancing Engineering Skills with EDEM Software Tools” was inaugurated at 10:00 am on 30th Sep 2024 at the ELN Block seminar hall, B V Raju Institute of Technology, Narsapur.
Mr. Prasad Avilala delivered an insightful address, discussing the practical applications of EDEM software in various industries. He discussed how the software’s ability to simulate complex particle behavior is crucial in optimizing industrial processes across various sectors. He encouraged participants to fully engage with the hands-on sessions to gain a deeper understanding of EDEM’s capabilities. His insights underscored the importance of mastering these tools to remain competitive in modern engineering fields.
